Metal-Free Ceramic Dental Implants in Berlin
Zirconia implants at the Europacenter Berlin: tooth-colored, metal-free, and planned in 3D by a specialist in oral surgery.
What is a ceramic implant?
Zirconia Instead of Titanium
A ceramic implant is an artificial tooth root made of zirconia. It fuses with the jawbone and then supports a crown.
Because the material is white, no gray shows through at the gum line, even if the gums are thin.
At our practice, we use the CERALOG PROGRESSIVE-LINE system from Camlog. It is based on the ZERAMEX XT ceramic implant from CeramTec Switzerland.

Who are ceramic implants suitable for?
The 3D scan taken during the initial consultation will determine whether ceramic is a suitable option. Typical cases include:
- Single-tooth gap in the visible front teeth area
- Thin or receding gums
- proven intolerance to metals
- Preference for a metal-free restoration
Titanium is generally better suited for large bridges and edentulous jaws.

Frequently Asked Questions About Ceramic Implants
How long does a ceramic implant last?
This depends primarily on daily oral hygiene, regular checkups, and professional implant cleaning at the dentist's office.
Is a ceramic implant possible even with limited bone?
In many cases, yes—possibly after a bone graft. The DVT scan shows whether there is sufficient bone available.
Does the implantation hurt?
The procedure is performed under local anesthesia; sedation is available upon request. Mild swelling is common in the days following the procedure.
Does health insurance cover the costs?
Public health insurance plans pay the fixed subsidy for the dental prosthesis, not for the implant itself. Private insurance plans reimburse costs depending on the plan.
Which ceramic implant do you use?
CERALOG PROGRESSIVE-LINE by Camlog, a zirconia implant based on ZERAMEX XT from CeramTec Switzerland.
For which teeth are ceramic implants suitable?
Primarily for the anterior region; in appropriate cases, also for posterior teeth.
